With the completion of the Wales Coast Path, Wales has become the first country in the world where it is possible to walk the entire length of its coastline – 870 miles of natural beauty, surrounded by sea, available for discovery with our Wales Coast Path Walking Holidays. The Welsh Coast Path divides into eight sections, each is unique; watch landscape, history and culture gradually change with your footsteps.
The sheer scale of the path and effort involved, has already received widespread recognition: the Welsh Coast was named as a top destination to visit by Lonely Planet in 2012 and was labelled one of the 'crowning glories of Wales' more than 10 years after its inauguration by The Guardian. What we have now is the chance to intertwine long established Welsh coastal paths (including Anglesey, Gower and Pembrokeshire) with long overlooked corners of Wales, so there has never been a better opportunity to discover Wales the best way – up close, and at your own pace.

The Wales Coast Path is an impressive milestone, but it needn't be completed in a single undertaking. Your walking holiday in Wales will take you from the mouth of the River Dee, along the North Wales coast with its seaside towns, over the Menai Strait onto the Isle of Anglesey, from the Llyn Peninsula down the majestic sweep of Cardigan Bay, through Britain’s only coastal National Park in Pembrokeshire, along miles of golden sand, via Gower with its almost fairy-tale scenery. The last stretch takes you along the waterfront of Cardiff Bay and Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, to the market town of Chepstow, lying on the Severn Estuary coastal path. Wales is left at the crossing (via the Severn Bridge) into England from Chepstow, either the beginning or end point of your coastal walking holiday.

This holiday can be completed between March and October and our clients usually complete the path in between 69 and 84 walking days, plus additional rest days. The holiday is booked to order and due to the high number of bed nights and the complexity of confirming consecutive night room availability for the duration - particularly during popular holiday periods - the more advance notice and flexibility in dates, the better the chances of ensuring availability. We recommend a minimum of three months’ notice, or more during the high season.
